We believe that the entire Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and thus is without error in the original manuscripts. This means that as a church, we can rely on what the Bible says about our spiritual life and personal life. The Bible is just as relevant today as it was when it was written.
We believe that there is only one living and true God and that He is an infinite, unchanging, and personal Spirit. He eternally exists in three Persons the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This means that we only recognize the God of the Bible. If the God of the Bible is infinite and unchanging, He is also sovereign, which means we must recognize his presence and rule in every area of our lives.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sacrificial, substitutionary atoning death on the cross and His literal bodily resurrection which accomplished our redemption. This means that Jesus Christ is both God and man. He is also the only way man can make peace with God and therefore obtain eternal life.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. This means that the Spirit is at work in this world to help, teach, and guide all Christians. It is only by the His illuminating word whereby man can understand Christ and His Word.
We believe that man was created sinless, under the law of God and in the image of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from that state. Now, in Adam’s sin as our representative, the entire human race has fallen under sin, not by constraint but choice, and suffers the consequences of alienation from God, judgment, and death. This means that all men are sinners and in need of God’s grace to forgive that sin.
We believe that salvation is initiated by God and that it is a free gift brought to man wholly by grace through faith in the redeeming blood of our righteous substitute Jesus Christ, who alone is sufficient to justify man who is lost in sin and walking in darkness. This means that it is man’s responsibility to share the gospel, but it is God’s work to save.
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and in service to his fellow men, and that his conduct should be blameless before the world and worthy of the gospel of Christ. This means that living by grace is not a license to sin, but a responsibility to chose to honor God over the weakness to fulfill ones desires.
We believe the Scriptures teach that at death the soul of the believer passes into the presence of Christ and remain in conscious joy until the resurrection of the body when Christ comes for His own. This means that all believers are not satisfied with the temporal pleasures of this world, but are consciously a future splendor of God, which will never compare to this moment.
